Rake is the percentage (commission) that the house/gaming operator takes out of every pot played for real money. Normally there is a cap of $ 3 per pot.

If there are ten players at the table when the hand is dealt and the rake is $3,  your effective contribution to the rake $0.30 (one tenth of the total rake), even if you don't even call before the flop. The rakeback you receive is the percentage of the amount of effective rake you pay in each hand you're dealt into. For example, if you receive 33% rakeback, you would receive $0.10 rakeback in the hand above.
